Work Policy

Figurative is a fully remote company. Every role is remote by default with no requirement to live near an office or work from a specific location. We hire across time zones and trust our team to do their best work from wherever they are.

We default to asynchronous communication. Written updates, recorded walkthroughs, and well-documented decisions let everyone contribute on their own schedule. Meetings are reserved for collaboration that genuinely benefits from real-time conversation.

There are no fixed working hours. Team members manage their own schedules around the work that matters. We care about outcomes, not hours logged. Overlapping availability with your immediate team is encouraged but not rigidly enforced.

Every team member receives a stipend to set up a comfortable and productive home workspace. This covers equipment, ergonomic furniture, and connectivity so you can do focused work without friction.

We bring the team together for periodic off-sites focused on strategy, team building, and the kind of creative work that benefits from being in the same room. These gatherings are fully funded by the company and designed to strengthen the relationships that make remote collaboration work.

Remote work only works if people can disconnect. We encourage sustainable pace, generous time off, and clear boundaries between work and personal time. No one is expected to be always online.
